PHANTOGRAM BROUGH THEIR CAPTIVATING BLEND of electronic pop and dark psychedelia to Austin's ACL Live at The Moody Theater on January 24th, leaving the audience spellbound. Following the fall release of their fifth studio album, Memory Of A Day, produced by GRAMMY-award winning producer John Hill, the duo continues to push creative boundaries and mesmerize audiences with their unique sound.

Memory Of A Day, inspired by the power of memory and the way certain sounds and melodies can transport us to specific moments in time, saw Phantogram delve deeper into their signature sound. The album, acclaimed by critics in publications like NPR and AllMusic, showcases the band's evolution while staying true to their core identity.

The live performance at ACL Live was a sensory experience, with Sarah Barthel's ethereal vocals weaving through Josh Carter's intricate layers of electronic soundscapes and driving rhythms. The crowd clearly ranged from older, longtime fans to newer fans - all just as excited as one another. I first discovered Phantogram with their breakout track “Black Out Days” back in 2013, and they’ve managed to keep their cool, mysterious vibe strong throughout their entire career.

The band seamlessly transitioned between new tracks from Memory Of A Day and fan favorites like “Fall In Love” and “When I’m Small”, creating an electrifying atmosphere that had the crowd captivated from start to finish.

This show was a powerful reminder of Phantogram's enduring ability to create music that keeps your attention with every single note.
