LUNA: How has the summer been treating you so far?

AMOR: This summer has been good… lots of family time, lots of shows around the US, lots of sun, yoga, and fun in my home in the south bay.

LUNA: Congrats on the upcoming release of “Mission Critical”! Can you share a favorite memory from the creative process?

AMOR: Thank you!  I think my favorite memory for “Mission Critical” was having this idea on the way to Ethan’s studio (Ethan Kaufmann is my friend, co-writer and producer)… Ethan only knew that we were gonna create that day, and we both had some “ideas”.  But mine was based in space… and it started with a count down… I can remember hearing it in my head “10, 9, 8, 7…” and it turned out better than I could have expected or imagined.  Tell you what.. Ethan is just phenom.

LUNA: Which set of lyrics are you most proud of from this one?
AMOR: I think the countdown was a cool way to start the song… but the “give me back my innocence…” line is the best.  To have that child like wonder again.. before anything bad happened in life.

LUNA: How do you think your move to LA shaped your newer music?

AMOR: Well… in short… LA shaped the music tremendously just the way I had always wanted, even thought I didn’t know what that sound was.  I just needed to “date” some different producers and the ones in LA., I fell in love with.  For this particular song, Ethan sort of reaches in the depths of the brain and soul and pulls out some coolness of what I was feeling.

LUNA: Is there a common theme or narrative you’ve been drawn to when writing lately?

AMOR: Yes.. love is common (or lack thereof).  Also, I’m a sober man so recovery and the lessons from there as well.

LUNA: What can you share about upcoming music in comparison to “Mission Critical”?

AMOR: Well it’s all unique in its own right.  My previous single “Rodeo,” also co-written and produced with Ethan K, has slight different vibe based on the musical content… “Mission Critical” has it’s “space” theme, and so in that you’ll get some different musical twists to fit that.

LUNA: What intentions do you have for the upcoming months?

AMOR: Getting these songs into film / tv and getting my music into the ears of every pop loving human possible :)
