ALWAYS LEAVING LISTENERS "HAPPILY SURPRISED" - JUNG, a Swedish duo, continues to create infectious music that showcases their range as artists. Consisting of brothers, Tom and Henrik Ljungqvist, are always looking to evolve their unique alt-pop sound. A sound that seems to mix elements of R&B, pop, and folk into something fun and invigorating. After releasing their debut album "Dreamers," the UM Sweden signed duo are back to give their fans more of what they love with their new single, "Nobody Knows."

On this track, Jung sings about a future that's shrouded in mystery and the courage it takes to understand that we may never know. And in their new video for the single Jung invites listeners to put feelings of existential dread aside and enjoy their "'amazing/breathtaking/astounding'" choreography and stellar space visuals.

Read below to learn more about how they are doing during quarantine, the idea behind their new music video, and upcoming music.

LUNA: First things first, how are you both? How has quarantine been treating you?

JUNG: Quarantine has been quite chill for us, we have pretty much had our parental leave, so much time with the family. We both have one-year-olds at home. But also, we've been spending more time in the studio since all gigs have been postponed/canceled. So, no need to complain from our side.

LUNA: Your music brings in elements of folk, dance, and R&B, what are some of the key ways you've seen your music evolve?

JUNG: We want our audience to be happily surprised whenever we release a new song and feel much freedom in where we can go sonically, so when we are in the studio and stumble upon something, we haven't done yet we get extra excited. And also, Henrik has finally been singing a lot more, and that brings another level to JUNG and our sound.

LUNA: What's been inspiring you lately?

JUNG: Our kids. Daft Punk. And the apocalypse…

LUNA: The space-themed video for "Nobody Knows" looks like it was a lot of fun to put together. Can you share a bit about the creative process for that video?

JUNG: Well, we didn't really know what to do until we got this silly idea of an astronaut really pushing the theory of "nobody knows" what's gonna happen in the future. Therefore doing the ultimate gamble of taking off his helmet. And also, I (Tom) really wanted to see if Henrik had any dance moves, so that was a given consequence. The song is about not knowing what's gonna come; therefore, we should live in the moment, classic cliché but still so true and what better way to express that than an" amazing/breathtaking/astounding" dance from JUNG. You’re welcome.

LUNA: Do you find yourselves drawn to a common theme with your writing lately? Is there something, in particular, you'd like the listener to take away from your music?

JUNG: We try to find new things to say or twist common themes in a different way, but we tend to encourage following your heart. Listening to our music, we want people to feel hopeful, we love it when there are many ways to interpret the song for example “Wasteland” is about 1. an apocalyptic world where you are the only person alive looking for life. 2. The feeling after a break-up, feeling like your alone in the world longing for love.

LUNA: Despite things being chaotic lately, you've been able to move forward and still put out music. Do you have any upcoming goals or plans you'd like to share?

JUNG: Speaking of “Wasteland,” our next single feels like a sequel to that song. We wrote it two years ago, picturing all the different ways the world could go under, BUT you have found someone. You're not alone. And you wonder, are we ever gonna dance again? And would you want to be with me if I wasn't for these circumstances? We will keep on trying to inspire hope and pushing ourselves to evolve into the biggest band in the world in a humble Swedish way. Join us.
