Now Listening: This Week's Tracks

San Cisco - “Alone”

Australian trio San Cisco's newest single “Alone” is sweet and gentle, evoking feelings of nostalgia as you think of someone you love. The soft vocals and beautifully vulnerable lyrics like “When I feel alone, I think of home with you” further tug at your heartstrings. The track, with magical visuals of a purple sea, a boatman and a mermaid, is a part of San Cisco's upcoming album Between You And Me, coming out Friday.

San Cisco notes, “‘Alone’ is about being away from the one you love for the first time. It's magic when you're together, but who knows how it will be when you're in different time zones living very different lives.”

Yung Gravy - “Yup”

You know how we all reminisce about Summer 2016? Yung Gravy’s new single, “yup!” takes you right back to Summer 2016. Starting off with a Latin influenced beat that mixes with Yung Gravy’s sound, “yup!” is a catchy feel good rap song that will instantly catch your attention. With lyrics like, “She call me Papa John’s, I got the sauce baby” and “When I pop it off call me Orville Redenbacher,” you’ll be sure to play the song on repeat just to say those lines again. Yung Gravy is constantly surprising us by exceeding expectations every single time he puts out new music. With over a half a billion streams on his last album, we’re excited to see what he has to bring to our ears.

LA-based artist, Jordi Up Late, releases her new single, “Facts,” a sweet and smooth bop that will get you up on your feet and groove. Grabbing you with the unique guitar line and a smooth yet groovy bass riff, “Facts” is one song you’ll immediately save and add to your playlists. Not just because the song is good, but it’s also completely relatable. This single is about begging to someone you love that there's more to the relationship instead of just focusing on the past, you want to see the past and understand each other better. The way Jordi Up Late puts it into words makes the meaning only understandable for those who do relate. Songs like this make us thrilled to see what she has up her sleeve with her upcoming EP, coming soon later this year

Moontower - “Hit The Lights”

Upbeat and catchy, Moontower's latest single “Hit The Lights” is a song to remember. The tune is a part of the indie-electronic band's 2020 EP titled What Day Is It?, highlighting their high energy and emotive sonic sound.

Quarantine has clearly not slowed down Moontower: the band continues to create music, collaborate and push the boundaries of their creativity repeatedly.

In late May, they released a mind-blowing 15 minute performance titled “What Day Is It?”, which has more than 25,000 views on YouTube. Following this, they embarked on a virtual “What Day Is It?” Tour that benefitted Know Your Rights Camp and NIVA.

Now, Jacob, Tom and Devan are planning a collaborative video including their audience, and are excited to commence the recording of their first album in the fall.
