AS THE GOLDEN TEXAN SUN CONTINUED TO SHINE BRIGHTLY, RISING STAR COROOK’S ENERGY AND EXCITEMENT REMAINED AT THEIR PEAK FOLLOWING AN UNFORGETTABLE ACL PERFORMANCE. After a spectacular set at Austin City Limits, we caught up with the artist to dive their recent tour and the recent release of the Serious Person (Part 2).

"I’m feeling great. This is the last show, and these are always really important. So, I'm feeling extremely satisfied," Corook shares. It's clear the energy from their performance is still keeping their spirits high.

Corook has been on a whirlwind tour, and has been able to adapt their sets to cater for whatever audience or setting they play. The artist explains, "During a tour, we keep changing our live set. We see it evolve as we progress through the tour. At the beginning, it's about figuring out how to bring the energy, but I also want to play songs that reveal who I am. It's a roller coaster out there, and I want the set to be just like that…Festivals demand a lot more energy. I aim to bring that extra energy while ending with a satisfying, heartfelt note.”

As Corook's new music graced the stage alongside their popular hits, the audience's response has been astounding. *The headline shows have been amazing. It's been fantastic to see people sing along to deep cuts," Corook says with genuine excitement.

Some tracks hold a special place in an artist's heart. For Corook, that track is Emergency Contact. They express their love for performing it, but during their ACL performance, things got a bit chaotic. "Today was by far the most chaotic time performing it. During the second verse, I usually have a sock puppet on stage with me. Today, I didn't, so I took my sock off, and it was chaotic in the best way," Corook shares.

As we wrap up our post-ACL conversation, Corook shares their plans for the rest of the year. "I'm heading on another tour. I'll have a few weeks at home, then a couple of shows opening for the Indigo Girls. After that, it's off to Europe, opening for Bombay Bicycle Club in November. I'll conclude with a week-long run of headline shows in the UK. The year is just beginning, and it's going to be great," they state with a sense of excitement for the future.

Corook's dynamic energy and evolving sound continue to captivate audiences. The artist's ability to balance high-energy festival performances with heartfelt, introspective moments speaks to their artistry. As their journey progresses, it's clear that Corook's musical evolution is something to keep a close eye on.
