COCA-COLA’S SIPS & SOUNDS FESTIVAL DELIVERED TWO DAYS OF MUSICAL DELIGHT - set against the stunning backdrop of Austin's skyline. From rising stars to established headliners, the festival offered a diverse lineup that catered to a wide range of musical tastes, creating a truly memorable experience.
Day one kicked off with the infectious energy of Dazzle Camouflage's DJ set, setting the stage for a day filled with dynamic performances. The Coca-Cola stage, with its panoramic city views, provided a picturesque setting for attendees. Ashe captivated the crowd with her undeniable stage presence, followed by Suki Waterhouse's ethereal cool-girl vibe, which was elevated by a surprise appearance from Ashe. Australian trio Blusher brought their electrifying energy, while Khalid took the audience on a nostalgic journey through his beloved hits. Gus Dapperton, a true highlight, showcased his unique sound and captivating stage presence, leaving a lasting impression. Halsey closed the night with a powerful performance, debuting a new track "Safeword," proving she's at the top of her game both vocally and visually.
Day two brought a shift in weather, but the music remained consistently engaging. Paul Russell and Austin Ashtin started the day with sunny, moderate vibes, perfectly fitting the early afternoon atmosphere. As the wind picked up and a cold front came in, Nessa Barrett brought a cool, rocker edge. Chelsea Cutler and Jeremy Zucker's "Brent" project provided a beautiful, chill set, with Zucker's banjo playing adding a touch of rustic charm. Despite minor technical hiccups, their set flowed smoothly. AJR's high-energy performance and audience interaction had everyone on their feet, and their teaser of an upcoming tour added to the excitement. However, the true highlight of day two was Benson Boone. His incredible stage presence, dynamic performance, and backflips left the crowd in awe, solidifying his status as a true entertainer.
Sips and Sounds successfully created a festival experience that balanced established acts with emerging talent. The festival's diverse lineup, combined with the stunning setting and lively atmosphere, made for an unforgettable weekend in Austin. Pop ups from Minute Maid, Alamo Draft House and Coca-Cola provided entertainment and an opportunity for attendees beyond the two stages. From the emotional depth of Khalid's throwbacks to the high-energy performances of AJR and Benson Boone, and the artistic prowess of Halsey, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Coca-Cola's Sips and Sounds proved to be a vibrant celebration of music, community, and the unique spirit of Austin.
