LUNA: SHE is a powerful title. What inspired the concept behind this EP, and what message do you hope to convey through it?
BIANCA: Thank you! SHE started as just a single, but I soon realised its potential to become much more. I wanted to expand on female empowerment, inspired by my own experiences. It’s about breaking free from societal expectations and embracing who we are unapologetically. Through this EP, I aim to convey resilience, empower women to embrace their true selves and redefine femininity on their own terms. It’s a celebration of the boldness that comes with being a woman.
LUNA: The themes of female empowerment and self-discovery run deeply through SHE. Were there any specific experiences or challenges that inspired these themes?
BIANCA: Navigating the music industry as a female artist was a huge inspiration. In this male-dominated space, there are often pressures, and we can be seen as inexperienced. These are challenges I’ve faced personally, and I’ve had similar discussions with other women in the industry who feel overlooked or not taken seriously.
LUNA: Many of your songs on SHE tackle societal norms and the “boys club” mentality. How has pushing against these norms shaped your journey as an artist?
BIANCA: Pushing against societal norms and the "boys club" mentality has been a driving force in my journey as an artist. It’s shaped not only my music but also my perspective on what it means to be a woman in the industry. I’ve realised that embracing my voice, unapologetically celebrating femininity, and challenging those outdated expectations allows me to create more authentic and empowering art.
LUNA: In what ways do you feel SHE represents a movement, not just an EP? What kind of change would you like to see this EP inspire?
BIANCA: I envision this project sparking conversations around empowerment, strength, and self-worth, helping women feel seen and valued in spaces where they’re often overlooked. Beyond the music, I hope to create a community that encourages women to support one another, step confidently into their power, and feel proud of who they are.
LUNA: How did the process of creating SHE challenge you artistically? Were there moments where you felt you discovered something new about yourself?
BIANCA: Creating SHE challenged me artistically by pushing me to experiment with new sounds and textures. It was empowering to step outside my comfort zone and discover new aspects of myself, both as an artist and a person. It was empowering to realise how much I could grow and evolve through the process, and I’m excited to share the outcome with the world.
LUNA: Your blend of pop and R&B has captivated fans. Who are some of the artists or experiences that influenced the unique sound of, SHE?
BIANCA: The sound of SHE has been shaped by a mix of powerful influences. Artists like Beyoncé, Doja Cat, and Tinashe have been huge inspirations for me, each bringing their own blend of pop and R&B while pushing boundaries and redefining what it means to be a female artist.
LUNA: What’s your songwriting process like? Do you start with a melody, a concept, or a feeling when creating a new track?
BIANCA: Each song has its own unique writing process, so I don’t follow a single approach. Sometimes we begin with production ideas and build melodies around that, while other times we start by discussing what I want to express and craft the song from there. It's exciting because every time the outcome is different and brings something new to the table.
LUNA: The EP blends genres seamlessly. Do you see yourself continuing to explore this pop/R&B fusion, or are there other genres you’d like to experiment with in the future?
BIANCA: Absolutely! I love experimenting with different sounds, and I definitely want to keep pushing the boundaries of pop and R&B. In the future, I’d love to explore genres like favela funk or Jersey club, as they have such vibrant energy and rhythm that could blend with my R&B/Pop foundation.
LUNA: Your upcoming Australian tour features an all-female lineup. What does this mean to you, and how do you hope it resonates with your audience?
BIANCA: Having an all-female lineup for my Australian tour means the world to me. It's a powerful statement about sisterhood, and showcasing the incredible talent that women bring to the table. I hope it resonates with my audience, especially women, by showing that we can thrive together, and uplift one another. It’s not just about the music; it’s about making space for women to shine.
LUNA: What has been your approach to creating a live show that brings the empowering themes of SHE to life? Can fans expect any surprises?
BIANCA: For my live shows, I focus on creating an experience that not only showcases the music but also highlights the themes of SHE—particularly female empowerment. The show will feature all the songs from the project, accompanied by female dancers to enhance the theme. The all-female lineup is also a key part of reinforcing the spirit of sisterhood and empowerment throughout the performance.
LUNA: How important do you think it is to have platforms where female artists can be celebrated together? Do you think the music industry is making strides in this regard?
BIANCA: It’s crucial to have platforms where women artists can support each other and challenge industry norms. These spaces amplify our voices and build a stronger community. While the industry is making progress, I believe there’s still room for improvement in highlighting and uplifting women in music.
LUNA: What are your long-term goals as an artist? How would you like to see your music and message evolve in the coming years?
BIANCA: My long-term goal is to continue growing both as an artist and as a voice for empowerment. I want to create music that resonates with people on a deep level and sparks change in the way we view femininity, strength, and individuality.
LUNA: How do you balance the need for entertainment in your music with the desire to inspire change? Do you think both are equally important?
BIANCA: For me, entertainment and inspiring change go hand in hand. Music is a powerful tool to connect, uplift, and challenge societal norms, so I don’t see them as separate. I aim to create music that’s both enjoyable and meaningful—something that resonates with people on an emotional level while also pushing boundaries and sparking thought. Both elements are equally important because entertainment grabs attention, but it’s the message that sticks. I believe in creating a space where listeners can have fun and feel empowered at the same time.
LUNA: You’re not just an artist—you’re a visionary with a clear message. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to young women who look up to you?
BIANCA: My advice would be to stay true to yourself and never let anyone define your worth or limit your potential. Embrace your uniqueness, trust your journey, and don't be afraid to challenge the norms. The world needs your voice, so own it unapologetically and always remember that your strength is in your authenticity.
