Ah, who doesn’t love reminiscing? This past summer, I was fortunate enough to attend Mosswood Meltdown, a 2-day music and art extravaganza, hosted by the exceptional John Waters. There was song and dance, lobsters and fishnets, drag queens and punks, and beach balls wearing thongs.
As much as looking back is fun, it's even better looking forward. What better to look forward to than Mosswood Meltdown 2025? That’s right, the cacophonous carnival is back and better than ever, with a brand new lineup to surprise and delight. The festivities will take place in Oakland’s own Mosswood Park on July 19th and 20th, 2025. Today, the Meltdown has announced a teaser lineup which includes new wave legends Devo, psychedelic serpents Osees, and fierce Belgian punks the Kids. Other exciting acts include Bay area rapper Kreayshawn and Portland power punks The Exploding Hearts.
