WITH THE REST OF THE COUNTRY JUST BEGINNING — to shake off the chill of winter, M3F Festival in Phoenix will be bringing you the first taste of the summer festival season for 2023. The two-day fest taking place March 3–4 in sun-soaked Arizona is just what is needed to shake away the winter blues. The electric lineup of some of dance pop’s grooviest names is sure to keep you dancing all weekend in a smear of color and haze.

Headlined by folk-pop goddess Maggie Rogers and electric dance icon Jamie XX, this festival has a selection of performers to satisfy every taste, ranging from electronic and indie pop to R&B and eclectic mixes of all of the above. Highlights include pop songstresses Ashe and Becky Hill, French house duo Polo & Pan, and electro pop star Quinn XCII.

If you’re itching for a dance club atmosphere, this lineup has got you covered with a curated selection of electric, neon dance pop acts. Highlights include Hayden James, Darius, and Purple Disco Machine. For a smooth, funky mix of electronic R&B, check out Channel Tres’ set on Saturday.

If you’re looking for some chill, groovy R&B influences, be sure to check out Winston Surfshirt for a perfect mesh of ’70s groove and ’90s hip-hop. For a taste of something dreamy and electric, turn to NEIL FRANCES or the soulful Joshy Soul. And of course, the festival experience wouldn’t be complete without frolicking around to a Toro y Moi set.

In search of some of your indie pop favorites? M3F Fest has a plethora. The lineup is adorned with some of the classics, including COIN, Peach Pit, Del Water Gap, and upbeat pop group The Jungle Giants.

Looking for some time throughout the weekend to wind down and savor the moment? Get in your feels with soulful acoustic songstress Chelsea Cutler, and relax with a drink while you vibe out to smooth R&B artists Chiiild and Pachyman.

In addition to the big names charting this fest, there’s a handful of rising stars you’ll have to be sure to keep your ears peeled for. Our top picks for up-and-coming artists to watch include indie sweetheart Veronica Everheart and woozy boy band group The Bash Boys.

Featuring a series of art installations inspired by the local landscape, a vendor space to browse wares from local artists and makers, and an abundance of fun food and drink options, M3F offers a vibrant tapestry of experiences to complete your cosmic weekend.
