Kilby Block Party returns to the Utah State Fairpark with a killer lineup this May. The festival began as a block-party-style celebration of Utah’s infamous DIY venue, Kilby Court, back in 2019. Since then, the festival has drawn hundreds of artists of all sizes with the goal of highlighting Salt Lake City’s incredible music scene.
Year after year, the Kilby Block Party proves that no one can organize an indie lineup better than they can, with artists like New Order, Slowdive, and Car Seat Headrest decorating the lineup. In fact, the lineup is so jam-packed that they had to add a fourth day to their traditional three-day lineup. Other notable acts include Beach House, Wallows, and Weezer, along with some up-and-coming artists that we absolutely cannot wait to check out like Friko and Lime Garden. Kilby Block Party is a must-go event for anyone looking to jam out with their favorite bands while also finding new, niche indie bands that you can brag to your friends about “discovering” when they get famous.
We had the privilege of covering the festival last year, and not only is artist bill spectacular, but Kilby Block Party also has a knack for curating activities and vibes that indie music lovers cannot resist. From film camera and development booths to tattoo artists to vinyl vendors, the festival truly has it all.
We’ll see you at the fairpark on May 15th, but in the mean time, check out some of our favorite artists adorning the KBP6 lineup below!
