EXPRESSING HERSELF IN EVERYTHING SHE TOUCHES - Dizzy Fae radiates authenticity without even thinking twice about it. Based in Minneapolis but connected with an audience across the globe Dizzy has become a key artist leading the new wave of artists blending a variety of genres from R&B to Jazz to Pop. Since stepping onto the scene in 2016, Dizzy has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists like Lizzo, Jorja Smith, The Internet and Kehlani all before the age of 22.

Since day one Dizzy has known who she is and has never shied from going all in for her music. While she’s gained an even stronger fan base since we featured Dizzy in our 10th Issue, her message and courage have remained clear. Creating narratives and a space for the queer community to feel seen and heard, the artist has always been vocal about the things she cares about - musical or not.

Her new hyper-pop track “Body Move” will have you moving around in ways you didn’t know you could. “Body Move” serves as a preview of the flavor of upcoming music. Produced by New York’s Stelios (Young Thug, SZA), the song has an upbeat bass that moves the track along effortlessly, with Dizzy’s vocals coming in and out of the track. Dizzy shares, “This song is all about moving your body, it’s giving confidence, it’s giving there's no better time than now, it’s giving get into your body now!! I want people to feel good about themselves while listening to this."

Check out Dizzy’s playlist and read her short story using the track titles below.

This is a story that is a journey you go on from the perspective of the song titles in order! Have a good trip! You start off just wanting to get out there and mingle, I mean it’s post covid at this point and you’re ready to make that “Body Move”. You go out to your homies’ “Friday Night Basement” there’s usually a wild party happening and yet it's still intimate enough to meet everyone if you want to. You’re dancing the night away and meet maybe what you recall the love of your life. You end up losing them in the party (typical movie shit) but you’re confident. You know this life shit is all “360 Baby”, you know you’ll see them again- The magic between yall was too good. Time passes and now you’re just thinking about dancing with them again, asking them to “Take Me In Your Arms”. “When 2 R In Love” time does move like slow motion rain, and you know this feeling is mutual. So “No Letting Go” until you know for sure!! I forgot to mention you’re hella popular and have a lot of friends so next weekend you get invited to the “Party Den”. It's the coolest spot around and has “Booty 3000” rocking everywhere quite frankly. This party really had “Nobody” that gave you that same feeling as the one you’re in love with and this my friend is the “Summer Madness” you’ve asked for all year. Forgot to mention that you have a crazy ex that tries to be with everyone around you just to be close to you. Yea well, that ex shows up at the party den. They come up to you and try to apologize and you just compassionately respond “I’m Good”.. “Aint no fun if the homies can have none.” You told them that y'all are “gravy n’ Biscuits.” It’s time for you to find “That Other Girl” cause you’re ex is doing “Stupid Hoe” shit. You end up walking away feeling a little lift from your shoulders and start talking to your friend and you see them.. you see the one you’re in love with walk right past you without seeing you. They had a necklace that read “Darling Nikki” wow Nicki is their name. Darling Nicki. You’ve had a tiring night but they gave you energy and BAM there’s your confidence. You walk right up to Darling Nicki and say “I Want You.” You both grab each other's hands and start “2 Steppin”, your foreheads touch as you close your eyes to feel the heat. Nicki goes to the DJ booth and whispers in the DJs ear while looking at you. They come back to you and say “Wait” in your ear as “The Whisper Song” starts playing. They start grinding and Darling Nicki takes you home for some “Sexual Healing.” Next day you're on cloud 9. You’re cuddling, smoking “Mary Jane” and feeling like “Everything’s Going To Be Alright.” Their brown skin on your brown skin is “Chocolate City.” All you can think of is “If I Was Your Girlfriend.” You end up leaving for work and can only think about them but something about it feeling like “Amor Prohibido” has you thinking “Oh Sheila” “I Wanna Sex You Up.” You see them drive by your job and you call them to say “Pull Over” they “Say I Yi Yi” and you say “Give It To Me Baby.” Little did you know this was all a dream, all of it and you rode the “White Horse” a little too long the other night in the Friday night basement. You wake up in a sweat thanking the “Creator” to have such a sexy dream.
