Now Listening: This Week's Tracks

Hutty - “Diggin in the Mud”

Having previously coined the novel music genre, house-pop, alongside producer Gabe Rhys, Hutty reignites his penchant for fresh, experimental soundscapes with “Diggin in the Mud”. An infectious musical mélange, the track proffers a juxtaposing convergence of lightheartedness and poignancy. Laced through the artist’s satirical lyricism is a personal tale of addiction and a desperate longing to flee the suffering that accompanies it.

Perched at the helm of the track, a saxophone infused chorus creates a refreshing, jazzy atmosphere that ensures “Diggin in the Mud” remains unbound and undefined by any one genre.

Dempsey Bolton - “With My Thoughts”

Chronicling the psychological spiral of a socially anxious man attempting to navigate a party, Dempsey Bolton’s latest track “With My Thoughts” showcases an inner monologue slowly descending into an uncannily empty soundscape devoid of thoughts. An almost tangible expression of Bolton’s musical zest, the track is the exciting product of unfettered passion and free experimentation – from a whirlwind formation of instrumentals, to novel ways of mixing vocals.

Isabel Pless - “Little Life”

Singer-songwriter Isabel Pless is back with her new single “Little Life,” a witty pop song that spares no sympathy for a man who made her feel small. With punchy, sharp lyrics and catchy acoustic guitar, the Vermont singer has created a killer track. Putting her pain into perspective with the title “Little Life” she heals by letting go of a toxic relationship. Lyrics such as “Forgiveness isn't working, so I hope you choke / And that you find yourself always the butt of the joke” are proof that sometimes you just need to speak your feelings, and Isabel does this so well. The acoustic sounds snowball into more explosive instrumentation with the introduction of electric guitars and drums to make the song even more impactful, with a pop-punk edge.

Solomon Rex - “10th House”

Solomon Rex’s latest single “10th House” is a meditative song that allows listeners to get lost in the atmospheric sounds of the Canadian-born NYC-based music industry professional, producer, composer, and artist! This self-produced single gently explores the tensions and desires between wanting to take control of your circumstances in life or succumbing to the natural forces that shape your destiny. Solomon Rex’s layered production style gleams with an ethereal and contemplative flow as his raw and textured vocals float in the background before coming to the forefront. “I don’t know how it got to be like this.” Rex sings as he navigates the complexities and the push and pull element of life.

INGOODFORM - “nosedive”

Ingoodform's new single "Nosedive" is a captivating and introspective track that offers a unique blend of shoegaze and dream pop. From the opening notes of the guitar to the ethereal vocals, the song captures the listener's attention and takes them on a journey of self-discovery.

Lyrically, "Nosedive" tackles the theme of recognizing self-destructive tendencies, which is a relatable issue that many people face. The track encourages listeners to confront their inner demons and embrace the process of growth and self-awareness.

“nosedive" is an ode to resilience and growth, making it a must-listen for anyone who needs a reminder to confront their personal struggles and embrace the process of self-discovery.

The Band Cope - “Georgia”

San Diego’s The Band Cope shows us a softer sound with their latest single “Georgia”. The band's expands beyond their signature indie/alternative with elements of grunge/punk vibe for a more smooth and sweet feel.

The single is the precursor to the band's upcoming EP, which is set to release at the end of May. The EP promises to be an exciting addition to the band's discography, and "Georgia" sets the tone for what's to come.
