Foley - “What Got Into You”

Pop duo Foley’s (Ash Wallace and Gabriel Everett) latest release “What Got Into You” is the lead single off their recently released album Crowd Pleaser. The song is about misinformation and escalating rumors—but Foley subverts the stress and brings a confident perspective through their pop sound: “And I almost said it to you before / But I stopped myself from revealing it all / ‘Cause I can’t have stories carrying on where I’m the feature.” Inspired by classic funk, Foley transforms the difficult experience of a crumbling relationship into a dance track that does the exact opposite of discouraging. The chorus features a similar guitar to Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” and brings the same feel-good energy.

Annalee Beck - “Sleeve”

Annalee Beck's "Sleeve" offers a musical embrace of the exhilarating rush that accompanies the early stages of love. With a catchy melody and Beck's enchanting vocals, the song perfectly captures the essence of crushing on someone as a new relationship blossoms. It's a melodic embodiment of that electric, butterflies-in-the-stomach sensation that accompanies the honeymoon phase, making it relatable and endearing. Beck's lyrics and delivery mirror the buildup of emotions that culminate when you finally start dating, creating a heartfelt and infectious tune that resonates with anyone who's experienced the joy of budding romance.

Lakehouse - “KEEP FOR CHEAP”

Lakehouse's "KEEP FOR CHEAP" is a genre-defying gem that effortlessly fuses indie, country, rock, and pop influences into a harmonious sonic landscape. Their signature "prairie rock" sound takes listeners on an emotional journey, evoking both the innocence of childhood and the poignant realities of growing up. Featured in Spotify's Fresh Finds Folk, the Minnesota 5-piece band showcases their lyrical prowess as they delve into themes of nostalgia and self-discovery. "Lakehouse" is a musical narrative that strikes a chord, effortlessly delivering a heartfelt message about finding your path in the world, all wrapped up in a captivating melody that leaves an indelible mark.
