Yves Jarvis - “For Props”

Montreal’s Yves Jaris new single, “For Props,” fires back to the wealthy class that “can’t empathize or reciprocate,” alongside others in his social circles “pandering for props.” With lots of meaning and lots of feeling, Jaris’ third album, Sundry Rock Song Stock, coming out September 25th, is intertwining his creativity with his life. Infused with his favorite color green, Sundry Rock Song Stock is a breakthrough musically from what he has been representing in his last two albums, more personal and more raw. Jarvis says, “People think I’m calm, but I’m very not calm, and I’m happy to elaborate on it now.” This only makes us more excited to hear what Jaris has in store for us, but for the meanwhile, he has two singles out from his upcoming album. Both are melodic and stir up some inspiration to make music with our own meaning, you’ll be swept in by these two singles and hopefully find some calmness within them.

Elephant Castle - “My Muse”

Touching on the mysterious process behind making art, Elephant Castle’s latest single “My Muse” has a dreamy thought mystic feel to it. Alternating between light and smooth vocals and vocals exuding great energy, “My Muse” takes the listener on an ever-changing journey, keeping them on their toes with each note. Elephant Castle continues to build a strong discography highlighting endless retro sounds with a modern twist. We look forward to hearing what turn Elephant Castle takes on next with upcoming music.

BAD CHILD - “HI DEF”

With his newest single “HI DEF”, Canada-based Bad Child touches new creative highs, while simultaneously exploring emotional lows with the stunning lyrics. The reality of words such as “She wanna see Rome but can't afford a ticket, working two jobs just to pay tuition” is hard-hitting and Bad Child's strong, emotive vocals only add to this feeling. Speaking of the song, the singer, song-writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist explains, “‘HI DEF’ is a conversation about distraction and ignorance in the face of large social issues. The visual is about the things that happen in the background that go on to change the world. If you’re not looking, you’ll miss it.”
