Beverly Moon - “Home”
The UK dream pop quartet, Beverly Moon, released their new self-titled debut EP with their focus track “Home.” Really bringing in the dream pop aspect, “Home” is full of wistful and sweet rhythms that will cause you to go into a daydream state. Beverly Moon puts their experiences into music as a way to connect with their audience, letting us feel less alone in the world. The group does not hesitate to make you dive into your feelings and feel them. Full of melancholy, bittersweetness, sincerity, and nostalgia, “Home” makes you happy with memories. “Home” might be the star we focus on but the entire EP is full of that feeling, an EP to daydream to, an EP to have a warm and safe place in your heart.
Kid Travis - “I Want My Hoodie Back”
Video Age always shows us how much you can groove even in melancholy. “Pleasure Line” is Video Age’s new single that brings a smooth melody with dreamy vocals, making you want to dance and feel the song. “Pleasure Line” starts off with a mesmerizing synth that shifts into the melody with wistful keyboard notes and vocals that sound like you’re listening to a 90s song. Following their last album, Pop Therapy, the indie rock band wasted no time to get back and make more music. Their last single, “Shadow on The Wall” alongside the newest single, “Pleasure Line,” gives us a little taste of what to expect on their new record that we are all eagerly and patiently waiting for.
George Moir - “Big Boy Cruising”
Fresh in the UK bedroom pop scene, George Moir releases “Big Boy Cruising,” a fun lively song to dance around in your room or scream at the top of your lungs in the car. George Moir has proved to be the kind of artist that takes everything around him and utilizes it the best way possible to bring what he loves to us. Coming from an environment with many siblings and parents who were collage artists and honey farmers, Moir was surrounded by positive and artistic people who only pushed him to nurture his artistic side. “Big Boy Cruising” is his first single off his second EP that has a fresh take on modern day uncertainty and the nostalgia and yearning that comes with it. George Moir is definitely someone you want to keep your eye on for more fun and energetic music.
Vhyce - “Lose Our Minds” feat. Yves Paquet
Vhyce, the Protugese/Italian producer who has been slated by the likes of Pete Tong, Claptone, Gorgon City and Satin Jackets as the next top of his field, has returned. His latest track, “Lose Our Minds”, is a chill track with breezy vocals that create a relaxed ambiance, something we desperately need in these times. “Lost Our Minds” marks another pair-up between the vocalist Yves Paquet on a track inspired by Kraak & Smaak’s Boogie Angst. Known for clean pop aesthetics and his keen ear for dancefloor rhythms, Vhyce’s collaboration with Brazilian-born soul vocalist Yves Paquet (who has previously collaborated with aeroplane and The Subs) have created a brand new pop hit, showing the climax of a good time within a dancefloor-filled night.
JJ Lee x Scenes - “Atlantis”
The third single from Kerry producer JJ Lee's upcoming album, “Atlantis” featuring Scenes, is a dreamy, shoegazy track that transports you to another world with its glitchy, futuristic video and thrilling production.
Following the success of previous collaborations, Lee has once again joined forces with fellow Kerryman Scenes, or PJ Galvin.
In “Atlantis”, Galvin's gorgeous, hazy vocals float over Lee's now trademark chorus laden guitars and muffled kicks.“It was only a matter of time before myself and PJ did something again, we're really on the same page when it comes to writing and production so whenever I have an idea I float it over to him and we'll get cracking,” explains Lee, “We've actually been trying to get a single together off the ground for awhile now, so I'm delighted we've got this done. The major thing that has been getting in the way has been the time difference– as PJ is living in Auckland now– but we manage.”
This is Lee's third single in three months, as the current Covid crisis has derailed his original plans, but also given birth to more opportunities.
“Atlantis is actually a new song that wasn't going to be on the original EP, it's just come together very quickly! The whole thing is taking shape relatively fast now, to be fair, and we're looking at a release maybe sometime in Autumn all things going well. Strange times but hopefully we can give birth to something positive out of it,” Lee states.
MVCO - “Waiting”
Producer and guitar hero MVCO first gained attention with the release of “Do It Again” featuring Jarvis Carter, and is now sharpening his image with his thrilling new single “Waiting.”
A heartfelt and catchy track, MVCO's vocals blend perfectly into the upbeat productions of “Waiting”, creating a song that is remarkable, irresistible and hard to forget.
MVCO has previously helped on hits like “Insane” by Ofenbach, and his own artistic journey starts off promising and exciting.
