Ruben Dawson - “FYALMA”

Every been so angry about a feeling that is completely out of your control? Ruben Dawson knows the feeling. The Norwegian artist uses his genre-bending artistry in order to fully articulate the emotions he faces with his real-time struggle with one’s inner hatred. His latest hit, FYALMA, is an indie pop gem that serves as a cathartic moment between Dawson and the personification of his anxiety, in which a dialogue sweepingly turns into him them cutting off completely. Dawson,  who blends every song he writes with genuine authenticity and raw emotion, describes this song as “one of the most liberating songs he’s every written,” and hopes that it will help, at least just one person, feel less lonely within their cloud of emotions.

Warehouser - “Consideration”

The Queens-based band Warehouser users their sonic sensibility in order to create a piece that is refreshing, yet nostalgic. The trio behind Warehouser enjoys electrifying their introspective lyrics with post-rock/jazz/folk influences. This sonic melding is shown to the highest extent on their newest track “Consideration”, which is the first track that Warehouser has mixed, mastered, and recorded on their own, a substantial achievement. The single combines rolling guitar riffs and a kicking bassline, showing off the group’s lyrical prowess with their music credibility as a promising introduction.

Stanley - “Surprise”

With a recently released album, “Afternoon Stanley,” the aura of this artist is full of smooth and breezy sounds, making Stanley’s music one of a kind. “Surprise,” which is in his new album, is an example of how Stanley makes never forgetting music. The song embodies harmonies that make you feel lighter, and the vocals blending perfectly with the melodies makes your heart feel warm. Stanley is out here making good feel music and according to his Spotify bio, “smooth jams for you to groove to in the mid to late afternoon.” We think he perfectly captures that. Give his new album a listen and you won’t be disappointed!

The Lagoons - “Love to Love You”

The Lagoons formed in 2015, and debuted their song, “California,” which mostly everyone has heard. The song got quite the recognition that it deserved, and to this day, we love “California” and the feeling it brings. The LA-based duo make a mix of indie with rock and pop but adding in things that fit to the modern scene or easily flow into it. Their new song, “Love to Love You,” is about the true feeling of love. Their message flows with ethereal vocals, smooth jazz sounds, and melodies that are perfect for any moment. With Valentines coming soon this week, make your valentines a playlist and add this song! It’ll definitely make them swoon.
