From The Road: Grayscale

DESPITE THE SCORCHING SUMMER HEAT AND HUMIDITY - Grayscale knows how to have a good time on tour. The band recently wrapped up a successful summer tour, sharing the stage with Boys Like Girls and captivating audiences across the country. Grayscale were particularly impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the East Coast crowds, even in cities they were visiting for the first time. The band emphasized the importance of live performance in their creative process, stating that they prioritize writing and performing music that is fun and engaging for audiences.

As Grayscale looks ahead to the rest of the summer, they have plans to take a well-deserved break before diving back into their work. The band is excited to continue creating new music and sharing their passion for live performance with their fans.

The band captured their tour and gave a disposable to fans as well to capture their Cleveland show. Read below to learn more about the band’s experiences on tour, the challenges they faced, and their plans for the future

LUNA: How did this tour treat ya?

GRAYSCALE: We had an amazing time. Summer tours are always hot and sweaty but that's rock n' roll.

LUNA: What was it like sharing the stage with Boys Like Girls and their fanbase?

GRAYSCALE: It was amazing to watch them every night. True professionals and wonderful people. We had such a fun time every single night playing with them, hanging, and meeting new people.

LUNA: How did the energy of these East Coast crowds compare to your previous tours?

GRAYSCALE: We love playing the East Coast. Definitely the best energy of any region in the states. A lot of these were new cities for us, and it felt really good to be met with a warm welcome in every single one of them.

LUNA: Were there any unexpected challenges or surprises during the tour?

GRAYSCALE: Staying hydrated is always tough. It was particularly rainy and humid as hell this entire run, but we made the best of it.

LUNA: What was the highlight of the tour for you personally or as a band?

GRAYSCALE: Beach day in Pensacola for sure.

LUNA: What role does your live shows have in the creative process when it comes to making music?

GRAYSCALE: Never been asked this before, really good question. Grayscale is a band that deeply cares about being a live rock band. The music we've been making currently is a testament to that - we deliberately stripped back all of the technology and got back to playing with amps all together in a room while writing. We care about writing and performing; those are the reasons we do this. We couldn't give less of a shit about social media or anything like that. So, the element of playing live is always present in our creative process. We only like to release songs that we know will be fun to rip live and create the energy we want.

LUNA: Looking back, what did you learn about yourselves or your music during this tour?

GRAYSCALE: How fun it is to play for new people who have never heard of us. I love winning a cold crowd over with our live show.

LUNA: What intentions do you have for the rest of the summer?

GRAYSCALE: We have a lot of work to do planning the rest of the year for Grayscale. We're going to take it easy at home for a bit, but we will be plotting a lot of awesome shit and will see you all very soon.
